Forecast holds trade accounts with workrooms, showrooms, and manufacturers that are not open to the public. Through them, clients gain access to high-end furnishings at trade pricing they could not obtain on their own — frequently at or below retail even after our rate is applied.
Furniture, fixtures, materials, and décor specified by the studio are procured through Forecast at a merchandising rate applied to the trade (net) price. This rate is a principal way the studio is compensated — for sourcing, vetting, negotiating, expediting, and standing behind everything that enters your home. It is disclosed in your agreement and itemized on every proposal.
The source list, product specifications, and drawings we prepare are proprietary and are furnished on the understanding that procurement runs through the studio. Purchasing specified items directly — or routing them through another party — to avoid the merchandising rate circumvents the basis of our engagement and is an unauthorized use of Forecast's intellectual property under Article 09. Where this occurs, the studio reserves the right to invoice the rate that would have applied, to withdraw warranty, delivery, and installation support for those items, and to end the engagement. We source deliberately; when goods are bought around us we cannot vouch for authenticity, lead time, or recourse when something arrives wrong.
